Activate Your Faith

Sometimes the greatest hurdles in life becomes our greatest blessing. Lyn and I were asked to come to the hospital to pray for a 12 year old boy who in less than 2 days had gone from a kolohe kid to someone fighting for his life with meningitis. With limited brain activity, unable to breathe on his own, heavily medicated and little response to external stimulation it looked bleak. ‘Activate your faith’ Pastor Lady Lyn told the family in the lobby. Let God be God and trust in Him.

‘God heals everyone, just not all here on earth’ said Pastor Bulla. We spoke of God’s eternal love, His mercy and His grace. I shared with them in 2020 I should have died 3 times but the Lord saved me. In my visitation with the Lord in my hospital room He told me to ‘Tell the people that MY Grace is sufficient!’

It’s in our darkest hour that our God shines the brightest because only the light can dispel the darkness. Do you believe…….

Today I received a text from the grandma ‘Praise God, he’s stable, he’s doing better, they took him off 2 medications and his blood pressure is strong.’ Thank you Jesus… when the natural is exhausted the Super Natural shows up.

Activate your faith…. A lesson learned for all of us because it’s not about location it’s all about foundation! But God…..

Seek God First

When the soldiers returned to camp, the elders of Israel asked, “Why did the LORD bring defeat on us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the LORD’s covenant from Shiloh, so that he may go with us and save us from the hand of our enemies.” 1 SAMUEL 4:3 NIV

When they had lost the battle (and about four thousand soldiers) to the rival Philistines, the leaders of Israel were shocked and thought why God had allowed them to lose. Why hadn’t He brought them success on the battlefield like He had so many times? But while they asked a valid question, they failed to stop and ask God why they had been defeated and what they needed to do next. They neglected to issue a call for repentance so that God would show them favor. Instead of doing any of those things, the leaders made a plan to carry the ark of the covenant into a second battle, presuming that its power would carry them to victory. The plan failed.

As Christian men we should be very careful not to make the same mistake Israel’s leadership made in 1 Samuel 3. That means seeking the Lord first for what we should do when we’re faced with difficult situations.

Thankful Tuesday

Attitude of Gratude

Thankful Tuesday presents another opportunity for a little self evaluation for this Pastor. You see we have evolved to a society of quick cliches, witty sayings, and memorable jingles. Ask yourself if you remember the McDonald’s story of a Big Mac… 2 all beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese….. or All State, you’re in good hands.

I had to ask myself if my worship has been so diluted that it is not even true worship in the eyes of God? When I say always trust in God… do I really mean all-ways? Do I praise Him louder only when there are others around me? Do I agree to prayer requests and never even pray? Do I profess the love of Christ but share it to no one?

On this Thankful Tuesday I’m going to take a Spiritual Inventory and get right with God, in the spirit of excellence and for an audience of One.

Signs, Wonders, Miracles In A Prison

First and foremost I give God all the Glory, Praise, and Honor , Hallelujah!

The past few days Free Inside Ministry, Pastor Virginia Domligan, Minister Jeff Rasmussen, Lady Lyn and yours truly, had the blessed opportunity to minister at Saguaro CC. It is a prison that is contracted by the state of HAWAII to house Hawaii inmates in AZ because we do not have adequate facilities in Hawaii.

It was our 31st trip since 2010 (not able to go during Covid) and it was such a memorable time. We were able to water baptize over 40 men, with over 280+ Salvations and numerous Rededication’s it was Heavenly and Heaven sent.

Matthew 6:33 reminds us “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” ‭‭Our theme was Repentance because that is the cornerstone of who we are as believers in Jesus Christ.

Thank you for all the prayers and i ke Akua ka ho’onani ia ~ To God Be The Glory!!!

Turnaround Thursday

Is it hard for you to kick against the pricks?

Acts 9:5b KJV

On the road to Damascus Saul has a personal encounter with God that changed his life forever. When the Lord spoke about kicking against the pricks he was referencing the ‘goads’, an implement that farmers and cowboys used to guide the oxen or cattle when they would stray off the path.

Many times we like to ‘go our own way’ and God tries to get us back on the right path, but we’re stubborn. The vast majority of us will never get that same experience as Saul did with the voice from the clouds and the blinding light. However we will be kicking against the goads for our lifetime.

Now you know God is sovereign and He is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent… He’s anywhere and everywhere at the same time. Put God first it’ll get better not worse.

No Matter How Bad It Is…

Even If….

What a title don’t you agree? It seems as everything and anything is pretty bad today. Price of gas, groceries are expensive, long lines everywhere we go, businesses don’t have enough workers… it never ends.

We as believers in Jesus Christ need to remember ‘No matter how bad it is, it can’t change how good God is!’ That is the truth because if we say ‘God is good all the time and all the time God is good, we should believe that!

Realize that your current situation is NOT your final destination and you’ll be able to make it through this Motivational Monday, I guarantee you.

But Even If…

And there’s a 4th with them?

Faith or Fear equals Fate… there’s a story in the Bible that really exemplifies faith as it should be. Now if you do not believe in God and the Holy Trinity, Thank You for stopping by.

Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego were 3 Jewish boys who had found favor with King Nebuchadnezzar and were appointed to govern in Babylon.

They would not bow down to the King’s golden statue he had built to honor his god. They were told they’d be tossed into the furnace if they did not bow down.

In verse 18 chapter 3 in Daniel it reads :

“But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”” Daniel‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

That is the faith we need that ‘….even if God does not deliver us we stand on our faith. Where are you today my brethren? Is the enemy pressuring you to doubt what God had placed upon and within your heart? Let us stand in True Faith that honors our God in obedience.

Faith or Fear = Fate

It Is Your Choice

Many of us do not realize that faith and fear share some commonalities. Before you fall off your chair and start posting on Facebook take a moment to read my entire post.

In the book of Hebrews chapter 11:1 it reads

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen’

Hebrews 11:1

And my friend Daniel, he wrote a book called the Dictionary, defines fear as ‘an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger.’

In both cases it is the anticipation of an event or circumstance that has not taken place yet. Knowing that I would rather be fearsome than fearful… look it up and you’ll agree with me.

The best example of true faith is exampled by Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and their conversation with King Nebuchadnezzar about their faith in God and how God ‘could’ save them… did you get that?V

Verse 18 reads:

But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.

Daniel 3:18

These 3 Hebrew boys knew both their faith and their fate, do you?

Power in Prayer

In 2020 while allowing God to reveal His healing powers over my life not once, not twice but three times saving me from death I firsthand experienced the ‘Power in Prayer.’

In the book of James 5:16 it reads

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”
‭‭James‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

While I was in Queen’s Hospital there were people all over the world, literally, praying for God’s favor over my life and that His will be done. In Mongolia thousands had me on their prayer lists. In Africa hundreds of villages lifted me in daily prayer. All over the state of Hawaii and across the mainland believers were offering prayers on my behalf to the Lord.

Heaven was being bombarded with prayer requests for my healing, my restoration and my release. To God Be The Glory, one year ago today, I was released from the hospital after Emergency Open Heart Surgery.

Yes I can say there is Power in Prayer!
